Sunil Pathak

Sunil Pathak, was awarded his PhD (2016) in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Indore (MP) India. He is currently a Senior Researcher at HiLASE centre, Institute of Physics, Prague. He is specialized in gear engineering and advanced/hybrid manufacturing processes. He has been working in the field of gear engineering since last 10 years and advanced manufacturing for over 8 years. He has conducted extensive research on advanced finishing of gears. He possesses specialized skills in gear finishing, gear metrology (micro, and macro-geometry) and measurement of gear accuracy. Presently he has been working on laser shock peening of intricate shaped geometries, machining of difficult-to- machine materials using advanced machining processes such as EDM and WEDM. He is also working profile modification of spur gears by electrochemical finishing process. Dr. Sunil has authored more than 25 Research article, 1 monograph, 2 edited books and more than 15 manuscripts published as book chapters and in various international conferences.
