I was raised in Colorado, and moved to Ohio when I married at a very young age. We have three children who are now out on their own raising their families. I retired six years ago, after working 34 years, so I have been able to invest more time in my writing. My husband and I enjoy camping, and traveling; we have traveled all over the U.S. and a few years ago was fortunate enough to travel to Norway.
We currently reside in Ohio, with our dog Little Red (red tick beagle); we recently lost our little dog Pierre (Westie/Shih Tzu mix) who was almost 17. Our hearts were broken by his passing and we are still grieving his loss.
Growing up my Grandmother told me many stories about her family. She told me about Annie Taylor who had been married to her cousin, and how she had went over Niagara Falls. When I researched Annie's story I tried to be as historically correct as possible about the many places she traveled, and the mores of those times. Our daughter Julie Spaulding was a great help when I was working on this book.
There were many interesting characters in our Family Tree which I'm sure is true for many people. It is very fascinating to me to research the history of past times and understand how that history affected our ancestors.
I also write poetry and have written a children's book "THE PUPPY CHRONICLES" under m. l. bowser. Our son Richard Bowser was a co-author, and his wife Dawn McPeek-Bowser did the delightful illustrations. I am currently working on a poetry chapbook, but have not yet completed it.
