Max M. Louwerse is Professor of Cognitive Psychology and Artificial Intelligence at Tilburg University, and Professor by Special Appointment at Maastricht University, both in The Netherlands.
He published over 200 scientific articles on cognition, AI, virtual reality, computational and psycholinguistics, holds two patents and served as (co-)principal investigator on scientific projects on virtual and augmented reality, neurophysiology, and natural language and data science solutions, often in collaboration with industry.
He is a frequently asked public speaker and a blogger for Psychology Today.
Louwerse is author of the popular science book "Understanding artificial minds: The psychology of AI" and "Keeping those words in mind: How language creates meaning".
