Christopher Frederic Lapinel
Christopher Frederic Lapinel is an author and illustrator. The eldest of five children, he was born in Charlottesville, Virginia. His German-born mother worked intermittently as a journalist, photographer, and linguist throughout his childhood. Her creative ambitions and her antique typewriter captured Christopher's heart from an early age. His father, the son of Cuban immigrants, also helped inspire a lifelong love for culture, art, and the written word. Christopher went on to earn a BA in English Literature from George Mason University and an MLitt in Creative Writing from the University of St. Andrews. His articles, poetry, and fiction have been published with numerous sites, 'zines, and magazines - not to mention an anthology for the 2004 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, '13 New Writers'. Currently, he resides in Rosendale, New York, with his wife, Rita (an acclaimed painter and illustrator), their two children, and lots of furry, four-footed individuals.
