Dennis Sawyers

Dennis Michael Sawyers is a thought leader in artificial intelligence and applied machine learning. He works for Microsoft as a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect where he helps Fortune 500 companies build end-to-end AI solutions on Microsoft Azure. Previously, he worked as a data scientist for Ford Motor Company and as an ML researcher at Carnegie Mellon’s Auton Lab.

With degrees from Carnegie Mellon and the University of Michigan, Dennis’ education matches his experience. He’s also an alumnus of the JET Program, and is fluent in speaking, reading and writing Japanese. His passion for language extends to writing, and he’s written for both the U.S. Chamber of Congress and the Borgen Project, a nonprofit fighting global poverty.

Dennis’ first book is titled "Automated Machine Learning on Microsoft Azure" and is geared toward teaching IT professionals and aspiring data scientists how to train machine learning models with AutoML and implement them in a way that realizes business value.
