Paul French

It all started with a novel. I wrote it in a weekend. I started writing it on the Friday night and by Sunday night it was published and ready to go in the Amazon Store.

It’s sold only a handful of copies.

But I don’t care.

It didn’t matter.

It was the beginning of something.

Next I decided to publish the lyrics to a handful of songs I’d written.

Then I gathered some Chopin Ballades, Field Nocturnes, Bach Preludes.

My piano teacher, when I was a small boy, was Olive Cloke. Her sister was Rene Cloke. Rene Cloke painted the most wonderful watercolours of magical folk. I decided to gather as many of her works together as I could, and put them all in a little book.

I wondered if I could do the same with vintage travel posters.

And with the art of Alphonse Mucha.

Should I try the Book of Kells?

And how about the Voynich Manuscript?

And this was how my new and unexpected passion was suddenly born.

I'm gathering around me those things that I'm interested in.

It's not with the goal of making money.

But perhaps one of the books will interest you.

Perhaps a new and unexpected passion will ignite you, as it has me.

Expect many new titles from me.
