Lon Chenowith is from Little Rock, Arkansas. He went to college in Oklahoma and seminary in Texas and Georgia. Lon and his wife have two sons and a daughter, five grandsons and two granddaughters. He has served in Christian ministry in four states as a church planter, pastor and missionary. His family loves the outdoors, travel and international mission work. Chenowith enjoys backpacking, hiking, mountain biking and running. He has published four books: Five Million Steps: Faith Adventures along the Appalachian Trail and with his wife Kay, High Calling: A Training Manual for Men of God and Ladies of Grace. Thunder in the Heart: Poems about the Glory of God and Truth and Treasure in Zechariah are the third and fourth books. He is the Director of Missions for Sandy Run Baptist Association in Bostic, North Carolina, and Director of Way of Grace International, a missions organization that evangelizes, trains leaders and encourages church planting in underserved regions.
