Her first novel 'Pushing Forty' depicts the lives of women of color in the UK.
And the second is an exceptional story spanning two-hundred years and two continents with stunningly interwined stories of those trying to escape only to discover that trouble will follow.

Mary V. Macauley earned her Masters Degree in Social Work in the UK. Before settling in the US, Mary was in the forefront of the necessary changes in the UK (teaching social worker students and staff in universities) about the placement of children of color, being placed with appropriate families; reflecting the child’s race, religion, and cultural heritage.
She has also written a beautiful children's book that eloquently teaches how people are merely 'different' in different parts of the world, but in a beautiful, interesting, exciting way - teaching to accept different cultures! This third book will be available in the future.
