Eddy Brimson

Eddy Brimson is an award-winning comedian, best-selling author, actor, and documentary maker.

Eddy became a professional comedian in 2000, quickly establishing himself as one of the most sought-after headline acts on both the UK and International stand-up circuits. His career has taken him from Yeovil to Yangon, Scunthorpe to Shanghai. He is also a regular on the world festival circuit, having performed solo shows in New Zealand, Australia, The Alps, and of course the greatest festival of all, Edinburgh.

Previously Eddy had penned six bestselling sports books based around football fan culture: four co-written, alongside two solo titles. He has also previously written one novel: the critically acclaimed Hooligan.

His books have been translated into both Russian and Italian, with worldwide sales to date exceeding 700,000.

As an actor Eddy has numerous TV and film credits to his name. However, Naughty Boy the play, is his first solo project.

Eddy has also written produced and presented two documentaries following The England National Football Team: Teargas and Tantrums in 1998. And: Some People Don’t Get Football, I Don’t Get Those People in 2012.

Born in Hemel Hempstead in 1964, Eddy is the youngest of six children. Football mad from the moment he could kick a ball he follows Watford FC. His hometown club, Hemel Hempstead Town FC. And of course, England. However, due to his life on the road as a comedian, he can usually be found on a Saturday visiting various non-league grounds.

Eddy is a keen animal lover and played a lead part in the National Anti-Hunting campaign, for whom he held the joint position of press officer for a brief spell. This led to him being under surveillance by Mi5 and his subsequent arrest at gunpoint on suspicion of terrorism. All charges were dropped.
