Peter Tinits MD

Peter Tinits is a medical doctor who has practiced as an emergency physician, anesthesiologist and coroner. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Toronto, followed by postgraduate training in Auckland, New Zealand. He holds dual Canadian/Estonian citizenship and has travelled extensively.

Peter writes primarily medical crime fiction. His first Matthias Kork Investigating Coroner novel was published in 2020. There are now three in the series, all featuring dark humor and authentic detail. The novels were inspired by classic noir fiction of the 1950s, where protagonists walk the mean streets but are not themselves mean. Peter is also the author of Millennium Lament, an accretion of illustrated poetry and short prose.

Peter lives with his wife in Southwest Ontario.
