Sarah Sparkes

Having had a passion for patchwork and quilting since she was 19, Sarah now teaches at her local Arts Centre as well as designing quilts, embroideries, and all things fabric related.

She made her first Quilted Postcard in 2008 and has made over 100 a year since for friends and family.

Her first book 'Quilted Postcards - Little Quilts of Creativity' was published in 2020, fulfilling an ambition to share her designs and passion with the wider world. Her follow-up books 'Quilted Postcards The Flower Edition - Little Quilts of Creativity' and ‘Quilted Postcards The Christmas Edition – Little Quilts of Creativity’ were both published in 2021. The fourth book in the series ‘Quilted Postcards The Art Edition – Little Quilts of Creativity’ was published in 2023.

The Quilted Postcards series of books lets you create small scale (6 x 4 inch) mini quilts. Each book has its own theme and gives detailed instructions with step-by-step pictures to create your design. There are the main designs but each book also gives different inspirations to create unique Quilted Postcards of your own. "Little Quilts Of Creativity”
