BIO
Jonathan Byrd is a husband, father of three daughters, and an eternal optimist; some might even say a Micawber. He is a fifth-generation resident of Biloxi who never imagined living anywhere else. However, after leaving, has never imagined returning. The more of the world he sees, the more he wants to experience. He hails from the hidden jewel of Alabama, Fairhope, but currently lives in Kirchenthumbach, Germany.
His first novel, Seafood Capital of the World, was shortlisted in the 2021 Faulkner-Wisdom Creative Writing Competition, yet it remains unpublished. He also has a completed military thriller for the common soldier. As one of the founding members of Transcendent Authors, his work appears in all their short story anthologies.
When he isn’t writing, he’s thinking about writing, even if it looks like he’s doing something else—like work. He has an answer for anything, opinion on everything, and is quiet about nothing.
