Robyn D. Walser

Robyn D. Walser, Ph.D., is Director of TL Consultation and Psychological Services, Assistant Professor at the the University of California, Berkeley, and retired from the National Center for PTSD. As a licensed psychologist, she maintains an international training, consultation, and therapy practice. Dr. Walser is an internationally recognized expert in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and has co-authored nine books on ACT. Her areas of expertise include traumatic stress, moral injury, depression, substance use, and problematic anger. Four of her books are written for the general public and are designed to make evidence-based psychological approaches accessible, practical, and deeply human, with a focus on supporting individuals struggling with trauma, moral injury, anger, and relationship challenges. Her remaining books are written for clinicians and focus on the theory and practice of ACT. Since 1998, Dr. Walser has conducted ACT trainings internationally and is widely recognized for her warm, dynamic, experiential, and clinically relevant teaching style.
