Everett lives in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia with his wife, two young sons, dog Mako, and backyard chickens. He loves writing, and is a contributor for the book "When the Center Does Not Hold" (2019) and author of the children's book "Do You Need a Song?" (2023). He is the 2019 recipient of the Civic Engagement Award from the Graduate School at JMU, and cares deeply about creating communities that empower people to live healthy, sustainable lives.
