Anna Bowles

Since the full-scale invasion in February 2022, Anna Bowles has divided her time between London and east Ukraine, where she volunteers and documents the situation on the ground in her travel blog. Her poetry dealing with the war and its effects has been published in Magma, Poetry Salzburg, Orbis and others, and has placed in a number of national competitions.

Anna's first novel, Rapids, dealing with a girl who has no intention of letting bipolar disorder or anything else slow her down, was published in 2021. She has worked as a freelance editor for 20 years and has been described by one client as 'antivirus software for your manuscript'.
