H.E. Payton

H.E. Payton first committed to becoming a published author at the age of nine when her love affair with novels began in earnest. It only took her a few decades to get around to it! Little did she know that reading the dirty bits of romance novels aloud to scandalized friends at sleepovers would one day prepare her to read aloud the dirty bits from her own novels.

After finally overcoming an internalized disdain for popular fiction (instilled while earning a degree from an elite liberal arts college), she now writes whatever she damn well pleases. Which turns out to be paranormal and fantasy romance stories full of love, adventure, magic, and outrageously gratifying sex. With a master’s degree in Women’s Spirituality, her stories incorporate elements of the divine feminine. With a professional background in the field of women’s sexual and reproductive health, she strives to bring sex positivity to her stories, as well.

She resides in northern California with her two sons who will never read her books, a lazy cat, a spazzy dog, and flock of goofy chickens out back.
