My day job is as a solicitor (one of the two branches of the legal profession in England). I fell into the legal profession, on the basis that I would do that until something better came along. I am still waiting, 50+ years on!
I have always wanted to be a writer but somehow it did not quite happen, but in the end I have done both. I write about most things under the sun (mostly short articles for publication in a variety of outlets). Consistently I wrote over a period of more than 40 years for the Solicitors Journal, mainly their light hearted back page which went through several titles over the years, ending as "the last word". A collection of these tales is contained in my book The Savage Poodle (which I subsequently extended in the Kindle version to The More Savage Poodle. I have also produced a short kindle book of pieces I have written for a Smallholder Publication (the Harrowing Times) about a truculent smallholder called Sid. I know next to nothing about smallholding but neither, in some ways, does Sid either. His life and times can be found on Kindle as "The Small World of Smallholder Sid"
