Dana Brooks is a personal injury trial lawyer with a passion for protecting and promoting women and girls. She uses her platform to bring light to issues facing women in all aspects of their personal and professional lives. Her law firm, Fasig Brooks, has won the Tallahassee People's Choice Award for Best Law Firm eight years in a row. She is proud to say the firm has 57 percent women partners and is 75 percent women owned.
Before becoming a named partner at Fasig Brooks, she served as a paralegal, law firm administrator, clinical social worker, and Florida Supreme Court certified family law mediator. She formerly served as president of the Capital City Justice Association and currently serves as a member of the Florida Bar, the Tallahassee Bar Association, the Florida Justice Association, and the Tallahassee Women Lawyers, among others.
Dana is the recipient of numerous professional and civic awards, including the Tallahassee Women Lawyers' Rose Deeb Award, which recognizes female attorneys who have overcome significant adversity in becoming a lawyer. Named by the Tallahassee Democrat as one of the 25 Women You Need To Know in 2021, Dana is a featured speaker at many conferences on the subject of women's advancement in the workplace, and is co-creator of the population local television show, Come Back Stronger.
She has one daughter and lives in Tallahassee, Florida.
