Sue Sheppard

I started writing in 2019 after illness rudely interrupted my career as a TAFE teacher in Early Childhood Education and Care. Sharing knowledge and information with students everyday was a great thrill for me. When I was no longer able to do this, I needed to find other ways to share my passion.

I wrote Polar Bear’s Brown Boots to give hope to future generations when all we see is doom and gloom in the media about climate change. I looked for an illustrator for some time before engaging Li Yang Lim, he blew me away with his illustrations and talent. He has brought my vision to life and I am forever grateful.

I continue to write resources for the childcare industry to support educators in their valuable and unique role of shaping global citizens.
