Kent Galloway

Kent Galloway hails from a small Illinois farm town, and now he lives in sunny Southern California with his wife. Kent retired as CFO of The ICEE Company. He serves on the Board of Friends of the Christian Medical Institute of Kasai (FIMCK) and as Treasurer and Board member for Creative Hope International (CHI). Kent has enjoyed multiple mission trips to Africa. What he experienced on those trips has given him insight into what Dr. Jerry encountered.

Dr. Jerry Galloway was Kent's second cousin. After Kent read over 1,200 letters that Dr. Jerry wrote during his 27 years living with the Pygmies in the Congo, he knew he must share this remarkable story. Kent has communicated with many who knew Dr. Jerry in the Peace Corps, CICM, and worked with him in the Congo, and what they shared confirms Jerry's legacy.

The account of Jerry's transformation, his great faith, and his dedication encouraged Kent. His ability to overcome the many challenges a doctor faced in a remote part of the Congo inspired Kent. He believes it is an honor to share Dr. Jerry's story.

In his spare time, Kent is a beekeeper, photographer and he enjoys gardening and playing with his granddaughters.
