Gail Cushman

Gail Cushman’s late husband often teased that she had two useless degrees, a B.S. and M.A., both in Sociology, but he was wrong. Those degrees made Cushman a master of people-watching and now with twenty cruises behind her, she has observed more senior hijinks than she could possibly remember.

Gail is an Idaho native and retired educator. She served as a Marine Corps officer during Vietnam. She taught school for many years eventually graduating into positions of leadership including principal, superintendent, and Director of Education for the Idaho Department of Correction. She lost her husband of 51 years, Tom, during Covid and began writing for pleasure rather than work.

She has a daughter in Boise with two grandchildren and a son in Nome Alaska with two outdoor loving grandsons including one serving active duty as a Marine. Semper Fi!

She and her new love Robert met accidently online while researching a book and now live in Montana, just north of Yellowstone Park with Cody the wonder dog. They travel a lot, and she often says "Cowboy, what's up today, l need adventure, time is movin' on and we're not getting any younger."

Gail also writes a book series called Wrinkly Bits, about senior hijinks and adventures of the senior set and she writes a weekly blog on Facebook for her many fans.
