Tyler Cecil

I was born and raised in the country outside of Louisville, Kentucky. I studied at the University of Louisville where I received a B.S. in Civil Engineering before going on to receive my MBA. Currently, I work as a home builder for one of the regions largest privately owned builders, Fischer Homes. It is a fantastic company and has enabled me to pursue my other passions as well. The two most important of these being writing and remodeling homes. These have enabled me to live out my creative side in many ways, from storytelling in the imaginative realm all the way to designing and physically creating spaces. I am always looking for the next project as I love creating with my hands.

I am marrying the love of my life, Brooklyn, on May 29, 2021. For years I struggled and doubted that I'd ever meet someone, yet she has shattered every expectation and changed my life since the moment she walked into it.

Most importantly, I am an avid follower and lover of Jesus. Without him, I would not be here today; Jesus saved my life and I live to help others know the same man who changed everything for me.

My first book, Woe to You, Me was born out of the desire to help people know and understand Jesus better by first identifying with those who did not recognize him two thousand years ago. As famed philosopher George Santayana stated, "Those who cannot remember the past are doomed to repeat it."
