Avram Mlotek

Avram Mlotek is a rabbi, cantor, licensed social worker and writer. In 2015, he co-founded Base, a new model for Jewish practice that serves unaffiliated young adults and was named by The Forward as one of America's "Most Inspiring Rabbis." A grandchild of Holocaust survivors and Yiddish cultural leaders, his writing has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Los Angeles Times among other outlets; he is the librettist of Amid Falling Walls which won the 2024 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Revue. Mlotek is the author of three books and proud Tati to Ravi, Hillel and Shabtai.
