Libby Earle Henry

Libby is a native Kentuckian with roots in the urban setting of Louisville and Lincoln County, part of the Southern blueprint of Appalachia. Both of these places play an indelible role in Libby’s memoir. She is also a graduate of the University of Kentucky where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree.

In writing this book, the author was released from the shadows of shame she lived under for much of her life as a result of a tumultuous childhood, and later, unknowingly being the wife of a white collar criminal. These conditions informed many of Libby’s life choices and placing it all under close examination gave her a certain clarity that she might not otherwise have achieved. She says, “So many people are vulnerable to familial abuse, whether within their family of origin, marriage, or other close relationships.

Hopefully my story will serve as a cautionary tale, and if that’s the case, then my book will have served it’s purpose.”
