My dedication to core awareness practices for body and soul through calming, thoughtfully inspired, movement and intuitive practices has informed the essence of the Sacred Body Cards and my own journey, both professionally and personally for over 30 years.

Core awareness goes beyond the physical. In fact I would say the subtle energy of spirit is the origin and true core. How we cultivate and circulate the divine energies of heaven and earth through our bodies is the key to operating from center—or the core—in all the other ways. Those physical practices simply help us to sustain the frequencies we set on a much deeper and higher spiritual level.

Early on I learned how the energies of amusement & enthusiasm are some of those higher frequencies, and they help in creating, destroying and re-imaging, well… just about everything. The root of enthusiasm is ‘entheos’: inspired, full of God. The root of amusement is ‘a muse’: inspire, wonder, reflect.

Both words carry a spiritual vibration that far exceeds any dictionary definition. Even in the most challenging of moments, if I am enthusiastic, I can be amused. If I am amused, I am capable of being centered—manifesting anything within my realm of consciousness, including enthusiasm.

Journey of the Sacred Body Cards:

The Sacred Body Oracle & Cards were birthed from the wells of my inner creativity, and a couple of amazing midwives I know who were with me much of the way. Now in the second printing, the cards and book of symbols began with a tiny spark back in the late 1980’s and a few well directed exhalations kept the coals going for about 15 years, until one of those little sparks flamed-up quietly.

Four different cut and paste versions later, in 2012 I laminated a set of 72 collage-cards and began doing readings with friends. Then that flame turned into a bonfire!

Realizing I was most definitely not an artist and had limited funds, I remembered that 1,000 photographs from 8 years of travel lived someplace on a cloud in the ethers. "Hmmm. Should I? No, that's not a good idea. Why not? No way! Well, okay, let's at least look to see how they might work." And they did. Alchemy.
