George Dearsley

I can't believe my book has more than one hundred five-star reviews. I was born to a working-class family in East London and managed to read history at Oxford University. Now semi-retired, I live in an authentic Turkish village in the Aegean region. As a journalist, I worked on staff for three national newspapers and later contributed to most of them as a freelance. I also worked as an on-screen reporter for Sky Television. Later, as a media trainer, I traveled all over the world helping people to speak more effectively in public. My clients include FIFA and I am on a FIFA guest speakers panel. I began writing Twelve Camels For Your Wife in 2019 as a hobby and as a thank you to the citizens of Turkey for their kindness and role in many adventures and humorous episodes.
