Mike Boyd

Mike Boyd, a product of the Kennedy Assassination, was born outside of Pittsburgh, in 1964. HIs book "Tongues in Trees" tells his life story, of growing up in an economically disadvantaged area, and finding solace in books, comic books, and storytelling. His love of story--and life--becomes infectious, and even as his life's troubles increase, his love of adventure and the world of words continue. This love led to a 33 year career as an English teacher, where he developed an AP course, a creative writing course, and a state and even national reputation. Mostly, this is a story of triumph--of acceptance of one's self, and what it means to truly overcome.
