Simon Mole

Simon Mole is an acclaimed children’s writer and performer, who has shared stages with Michael Rosen, Hollie McNish and Simon Armitage.

He has published:

*Three picture books, including I Love My Bike (shortlisted for Sunday Times Children’s Sports Book of the Year).

*Two themed poetry giftbooks for younger children; A First Book of Dinosaurs (A Sunday Times One to Watch Out For pick) and A First Book of Bugs (Shortlisted for the 2026 CLiPPA Awards – the UK's leading prize for poetry for children).

*Poetry Pizza, a poetry collection for 7-11 years olds (A Guardian Books of the Month pick and a BookTrust Recommended Read)

Simon is a National Poetry Day Ambassador, with over 15 years experience using poetry with children and families, and works in schools and libraries across the country and overseas.

The videos on his YouTube channel are used by hundreds of thousands of children and teachers across the world each year and have been featured on the BBC.
