Luca Cesari

As a picky eater child in 1970s Bologna, he was lovingly fed with tagliatelle alla bolognese and tortellini by his grandmother. Perhaps for this reason, Luca Cesari is interested in the history of gastronomy, in particular the birth of the most famous and representative dishes of the Italian tradition.

He has published "Storia della pasta in dieci piatti" (History of pasta in ten dishes) for Il Saggiatore that won the Prize "Bancarella della cucina" 2021, collaborates with the magazine Gambero Rosso and edits the column "Indovina chi sviene a cena" (Guess who's fainting to dinner) in the cultural insert of Sole 24 Ore. His blog is "ricettestoriche.it".
