Joanne has created and successfully implemented a Hybrid system of piano lessons which combines weekly group piano classes with regularly occurring “solo” (private) lessons. As a composer, Joanne has used her creative skills to create all of the lesson materials that are used in her studios. To date, she has composed over 300 pieces which are included in her lesson materials, many of which have become favorites of her students.

Joanne was a Panelist for the 12 week “Women of Wisdom Mastermind" from October to December 2020. She was an invited speaker at four Summits in 2021 - The Global Music Teacher Summit, The Global Healing Power of Music Summit, The Global Piano Teachers Summit and The Global Music Composers Summit. She was invited to share her knowledge on many aspects of piano and music lessons as an expert in the area of beginners, group classes, composition and online teaching.

She has been professionally producing games for use in music classes since 2005. In 2012 she began creating games for Ultimate Music Theory. She is now the UMT Creative Designer. Her games are included in the Ultimate Music Theory Supplemental Series and there are 2 Game packs available for purchase from UltimateMusicTheory.com. The games she creates for the Ultimate Music Theory Teachers Membership are enjoyed by teachers and students around the world!

Joanne served as Patient Spokesperson for the Norton and Lucille Wolf Breast Care Center in London, Ontario. The first event was on the one year anniversary of her cancer surgery. She had the honor of standing before the audience and personally thanking Norton and Lucille Wolf for their generous donation to the Breast Care Center. Following that presentation the Foundation event organizers to ask her to do more!

She was invited to be the patient Spokesperson for "Bust a Move", a very successful fitness based fund raiser which raised over 2.6 million dollars over 3 years. She served in that role for 2 of the 3 years the event was held. During this time she was also asked to speak to various groups and organizations in the area to raise awareness of the event and encourage participation. Since then, she has spoken on behalf of the St. Joseph`s Hospital Foundation on several occasions and appeared as a Patient Ambassador in several broad based fund raising mail campaigns, including the hugely success "Dream of a Life Time Lottery". She represented the Breast Care Center as the patient Ambassador on World Cancer Day for 2 separate radio talk show interviews.

As a pianist and organist, she has performed at hundreds of events including memorial services, weddings and other special events. Joanne has been a presenter at many International conferences and workshops. She is a published composer with her pieces appearing in student manuals used internationally.
