Beth Adams is the Chief of Enterprise Software Development Tools at the US Census Bureau and a twenty-year veteran of the IT industry. Beth holds certifications in Program and Portfolio Management, Agile methodologies, DevOps practitioner, and various programming languages. She leads enterprise-wide IT initiatives and programs that impact hundreds of millions of United States residents. In the past, she's held positions building mobile apps and websites that have millions of monthly views and manage multi-million dollar budgets. Beth is the recipient of numerous leadership awards, executive awards, and a couple of United States presidential recognitions. Beth sits on several software governance and standards boards and is considered an expert in software development and delivery within the US government.
Outside of work, Beth's service-driven endeavors continue. She is a mentor for local chapters of Women In Technology and Girls Who Code nonprofits and previously sat on the North Carolina A&T State University's Computer Science Alumni Board.
In 2016, Beth pursued her entrepreneurial endeavors and founded a series of small businesses, including forming a network of like-minded black female founders and entrepreneurs. She founded her group Entreherneur and expanded the membership to over 300 women within the first six months. Today the membership spans 2500+ members. Beth leads webinars and invites panelists to discuss all topics of starting a business and leading organizations. Beginning in 2018, Beth launched an online stationery marketplace Brown Aspiration Brown, a brand geared towards diversity and inclusion of positive images that celebrate African American culture. In 2019, Beth founded and is Board Chairwoman of the Entreherneuer Foundation nonprofit, aiming to provide small business grants to black women-owned businesses. In 2020 Beth Adams became a 14x International #1 Best-Selling author as a co-author of Significant Women: Leaders Reveal What Matters Most. As recent as 2021, Beth Adams and her two sisters, purchased over 80 acres of farmland in Brandywine, Maryland, under the company name Pepperidge Promise. The Pepperidge Promise will create a mental wellness retreat on their organic, sustainable farm beginning in 2024.
Beth resides in Maryland, where she is the mother to one energetic and inquisitive son.
