Jeffrey W Dandoy

Jeffrey W. Dandoy first heard from God as a teenager and majored in religion at the College of Wooster, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with the Paul DeWitt Twinem Bible Award for excellence in biblical studies (1982). With a Master's of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary (1985) he was ordained to the ministry in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and served churches in Johnstown (PA), Newark, (DE), Elkton, (MD) and eventually in Delaware City and Port Penn (DE). In between he earned a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the University of Delaware, with the United Alumni of Urban Affairs Outstanding Student Award (2000). While in Johnstown he received the 1987 Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Award from the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

The revelation of a change to Messianic Judaism took hold in 2004 at the Beit HaTorah Messianic congregation in Elkton, under the teaching of Rabbi Sariella Creeger. This journey has proceeded at an uneven pace without ever losing the trustworthiness of its inspiration. The faith issues came into focus at the 2018 Summer Conference of the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America.

After leaving the pulpit ministry Jeffrey worked for five years for Friendship House, Inc. in Wilmington (DE) as a program coordinator for men's housing. Jeffrey and his wife Lesley have lived in Newark since 1991, where they raised their daughter Audrey and son Jeffrey, who are both now married. Two grandchildren have completed the family.
