Mark J Schreiber

Mark J. Schreiber (DMin, PhD), Lutheran pastor (emeritus) and US Navy Chaplain, (1980-2005), Captain, (Ret.) served after retirement from the chaplaincy as the endorsing agent for all military chaplains of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod from 2004-2014. Notable accomplishments as endorsing agent include the creation and implementation of the Doctor of Ministry military chaplain degree program at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis and the creation of Operation Barnabas, a congregationally based outreach ministry to all veterans and their families. Operation Barnabas now boasts over 300 active chapters nationwide. Notable military accomplishments include multiple tours with the Marine Corps, both active and reserve; plank owner aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt, CVN-71, commissioned October 25, 1986 and graduate of the Marine Corps Command and Staff College, June, 2003. Chaplain Schreiber is married to Connie since 1977. They have three married daughters and six grandchildren.
