Jinny Alexander

Jinny was first published in Horse and Pony magazine at the age of ten. She’s striving to achieve equal accolade now she’s (allegedly) a grown-up. Jinny secured a 3-book traditional publishing deal in December 2020, but in October 2022 she reclaimed the rights to her books and relaunched her Jess O'Malley Irish Village Mystery Series with a fab new look, and new sequels. She has also launched a new cozy mystery series, Mrs Smith's Suspects, the first of which came out in 2024. In 2025, Jinny released the second in the Mrs Smith's Suspects series, and a non-fiction, fly-on-the-wall account of the life as an online English teacher.

Now, in 2026, she is proud and delighted to have written the introduction (under the name of Jeanette Everson) to the upcoming, ground-breaking true diary of Jana, a girl from Gaza who Jinny has been in contact with since summer 2025. This book, My Name is Jana. I am Fifteen. I live in Gaza. will be released in November 2026.

Jinny has also been published (both as Jinny Alexander and under the name of Jeanette Everson) in magazines and online forums, and has won awards for her flash fiction, novels, and short stories. When not writing, Jinny teaches English as a foreign language to people all over the world, which gives her an endless source of new inspiration for stories. Her home, for now, is in rural Ireland, which she shares with her husband and far too many animals. She quite likes to shut the door on them all and write.
