Laura Hall

Laura Hall was born to a closeted gay father and a straight mother during the post-World War II baby boom in a small town on the San Francisco Peninsula. As a teenager In the 60s, she marched for civil rights in Golden Gate Park, attended live rock shows at the famed Fillmore Auditorium, and wore flowers in her hair. She received her BA and MLA in Landscape Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley, and taught and practiced the "Social Factors in Community Design" for more than two decades. Laura and her husband live in San Francisco near the Castro District, one of the first gay neighborhoods in the United States.
