We are a married couple from Melbourne, Australia, who like everyone else had to find creative, lighter ways to relay the effects of a pandemic to our beautiful two children and to help them not only understand but thrive through it.

We always read to our children and through these stories, either from books or stories we created, we always found a channel to relate, explain and teach our children about life's beauty and challenges.

Our little family was struggling through a very tough 12 week long lockdown due to the current pandemic. Homeschooling, confinement and seclusion had taken their toll and one day our 6 year old girl, who had had her birthday party cancelled due to Covid19 asked us 'When can we go to the zoo?'. We replied 'Do you miss the zoo darling?' to which she replied 'I miss the animals'. 'I bet they miss you too.', we said.

And that's how this book was created, from a bedtime story we made for our kids to the pages of a fun book, designed to help kids understand and see the silver lining behind it all.
