John Shields

John Shields was born and brought up near Edinburgh and has spent over three decades in the Royal Air Force. The early part of his career concentrated on flying as a navigator on the Tornado F3 and operating in the air defence role in the UK, the Falkland Islands and preparing for contingent global operations. More recently, John's career has focused on Professional Military Education in the UK and the USA, both as a student and as an Instructor
