Sarah Palmer

Sarah Palmer is an Australian children's author, from Sydney, NSW. She is a sensitive soul who has always connected to nature, animals, and children. She is a former early childhood educator, homeschool supervisor, and mum of 2. She graduated from university with a bachelor's degree in teaching and has worked with children and families for more than 20 years.

During her teaching career, Sarah worked in many roles and settings, including a mobile toy and book library where she focused on making toys, books, reading, and play experiences accessible to children in underprivileged areas.

Sarah advocates the importance of play and reading for early learning and development and believes that experiences in the early years shape a child's learning and future success.

Sarah has a strong passion for picture books and has adored sharing them with young children, as a parent, an educator, and an author. Seeing the joy and benefits that books bring to children was Sarah's inspiration to start writing for children herself.

Sarah also has a multitude of knowledge and experience with children who have additional needs, through her own parenting and teaching career, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, Selective Mutism, and Anxiety.

When Sarah is not writing, she enjoys being in nature, photography, and spending time with her two children and spoilt Foxy.
