Next to writing, Lovern’s other passion work surrounds domestic violence (DV) awareness. She is the Founder of Love Life Now Foundation (LLN), which promotes year-round awareness around the issue via its initiatives and helps bridge gap between DV shelters and communities they serve.

She conducts DV Workshops globally and hosts events that raise thousands of dollars to benefit DV shelters worldwide. She has appeared in numerous print articles, as well as radio and television shows including CBS This Morning, USA Today News, Huffington Post, NBC’s This is New England and WHDH’s Urban Update, .
She was recognized by the Boston Celtics as one of their ‘Heroes Among Us’ recipients, for her work around domestic violence during the Covid19 pandemic and Instagram for Business featured her for Women’s History Month, as part of their female entrepreneur – togetHER series.
As one of the co-writers of the survivor anthology #SheWins book and author of the DV awareness memoir, The Legacy He Left Me, her hope is that she can help educate even more people around the issue of abuse.
