Ever since his childhood, J.R. Underdown had an active mind. Taking inspiration from whatever shows or movies he saw, he formed stories of his own inside his mind. When he started learning guitar, he explored putting some of that imagination on paper through songwriting. Eventually this branched out into poetry and then, finally, through writing short fiction.
As Underdown made his way through high school, he slowly picked up more tricks of the trade. The result of this early education was Plethora, a YA fantasy novel. Since then, Underdown has self-published a collection of poetry (Seasons So Far) and a collection of mysteries (The Boyd Bafflers), released two EPs on NoiseTrade, written for various entertainment websites, and has had short fiction published on FrontierTales.com and in Mystery Weekly Magazine.
