Susan's love for Italy began when she first met Italians on the soccer pitch years ago. Through Italian language classes and annual trips to Italy over the span of 15 years, that fascination turned into a full-fledged love affair with the country. The trips created enduring friendships and a sense of belonging to a country she otherwise had no connection with. Her background as a lawyer fed her inquiring mind, as did her passion for travel, which she blogged about for several years. Italy Through the Rear-View Mirror is her first book, which arose out of her extended travels through the 20 regions of Italy.

Susan took early retirement to travel, read, write, spend more time with friends and family, and enjoy life to the fullest. And it has not disappointed. She lives in Alberta, Canada with her husband, but is always looking for ways to spend more time in Italy. All suggestions welcome!
