Arnold W Krause

Born and raised in California and attended elementary, high school and junior college there. I was drafted into the U.S. Army in September, 1967 and served two years. During my time in the service, I was sent to Vietnam as an infantryman and was assigned various tasks including ammo bearer for a machine gun crew, platoon leader RTO, squad leader and platoon sergeant, I left the service as a staff sergeant. After the army, I worked for Pacific Bell (AT&T) for 33 years as a craftsman and as a manager before retiring. I am married and have two sons. This book is about my service time, my tour of duty in Vietnam and my quest decades later to find the boys (men) I served with. I have been invited to Ft Carson, Colorado on numerous occasions by the U.S. Army to interact with the officers and men of the 2nd Bn 12th Infantry Regiment, my assigned unit in Vietnam. I currently live in Sparks, NV after loosing my home in Santa Rosa, CA in the 2017 forest fires.
