BAFTA Judge and TV writer James Andrew Hall has written screenplays, soaps, novels & children’s books over his long career.

His children’s books include 'The Curse of Brian’s Brick' (nominated for a Nestlé Smarties Book Prize) and 'Fowl Pest' (featured on the BBC's children's TV series Jackanory & ITV's Dramarama).

His novels include: Man in Aspic, Enemy at the Door, Frost.

His screenplays include BBC movie 'The Snow Queen', 'Good King Wenceslas' and BBC series 'Secret Army', ‘Kilvert's Diary’, ITV's 'Tales of the Unexpected' and 'Enemy at the Door'; he even had a stint as a writer on the popular soap, Crossroads.

His TV adaptions include: Black Hearts in Battersea, Smokescreen, The Franchise Affair, David Copperfield, Brat Farrar, My Brother Jonathan, The Prisoner of Zenda, The Invisible Man, Love and Marriage, Spooky, Dombey & Son, The Coral Island, Great Expectations, The Bagthorpe Saga, Brendon Chase, The History of Mr. Polly, Play for Today: Coming Out & The Mill on the Floss.
