Daniel Catroli

Daniel Catroli doesn't write comfortable stories. Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1980 and trained in film before turning to the page, he builds worlds with a director's precision and populates them with characters who are never entirely good, never entirely explainable — just human. His fiction moves the way his films once did: fast, visual, and impossible to look away from. Catroli is an Italian-Brazilian author working at the intersection of literature, cinema, and screenwriting.
