D.B. Forest writes high fantasy novels that are... Ish? Like they exist and contain words which counts.

Author of The Rift Weaver series, a 5-book fantasy series that all started with a desire to make a candle. It spiraled. Here we are.

​Also author of Onyx Series (also 5 books long), a few standalones in the same universe and like 3 short stories. The world keeps expanding because characters just keep doing their own things. And I'm like, "….Sure. That may as well happen too. Hold on. Lemme write it down."

​I have an ellipses problem I'm not ready to address, a tendency to use italics, and a habit of starting sentences with conjunctions (you'll see). Just having fun with this whole bookish adventure of writing and self-publishing. I am indeed human (and not fantastic at grammar. Exhibit A), so there will be typos. We could make a game of it though. Highest count wins! Prize: Emotional damage borrowed from fictional people. Woohoo!

​I am not responsible for what my characters do, but I do accept angry letters on their behalf considering I'm probably just as surprised as you by how the stories go. I tried to tell them.

​When not wondering why my fictional people won't listen to perfectly reasonable advice, I can be found hanging out with my dog who believes I should do that full time. He might be right. We'll see how this goes.
