Edward Mickolus graduated from Georgetown University and obtained MA, MPhil, and PhD degrees from Yale University before anyone noticed they were missing. He worked as a staffer at the Central Intelligence Agency for 33 years and as an intelligence contractor for another seven years. He is the President of Vinyard Software, Inc. (vinyardsoftware.com), which produces terrorism events and biographic databases; clients include some 200 universities in 24 countries. He teaches at various universities on writing, creativity, and intelligence. His 40+ books cover such topics as international terrorism, international organization, education, intelligence, history, humor, inspiration, fitness, public speaking, and biography. In addition to the above topics, his 100+ scholarly journal articles and book chapters also cover psychology, law, computers, the Internet, sociology, African politics, folklore, and automobile collection. He is collaborating on several book projects, including his first novels. He has been interviewed by NPR, BBC World, America in the Morning, the Florida Times-Union, and the Ponte Vedra Recorder, inter alia.
