Michael Marlin

Michael Marlin (aka Marlin) is an internationally acclaimed performance artist and producer/director. He has worked as an circus elephant groom, actor, comedy juggler, toy inventor, author, cartoonist, philosopher, game designer, homesteader and transformational coach. He is the creator of "Mind of Marlin: Tree Top Talks" which are semi-regular social satire video posts on his YouTube Channel. He is the author illustrator of, "The Contemplative Navel" and "Astrotourism: Star Gazers, Eclipse Chasers and the Dark Sky Movement." As a vanguard in the Dark Sky movement in the 80's he created theatrical performances executed in the dark to raise awareness of the light pollution. His production, LUMA: Art in Darkness appeared in 15 countries on 5 continents and 45 states across the U.S. and was recognized by the International Astronomical Union and the International Dark Sky Association. A public speaker on dark skies for tourism boards, city councils, utility companies, educational institutions, and is working with Yellowstone National Park and communities seeking to protect their night skies. He is currently working on a television series as an executive producer and the host titled, "The Astrotourist."
