Daniel J. Curran

Daniel J. Curran started writing professionally as a media coordinator for a significant Portland, OR. medical university. His pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in Professional Writing at Portland State University, received it in June 2000. Daniel then wrote feature articles as a freelance writer for the upstart Portland Tribune newspaper. Daniel proceeded to get his Master of Science degree in Writing with a degree concentration in Book Publishing at PSU in June 2004. Daniel is a published short story writer. He spent a year as a Sports Journalist covering the Portland Beavers Triple-A baseball team, then minor league affiliate for the San Diego Padres. Daniel taught resume writing and effective interview techniques for the Portland Community College Workforce Training Center, after which he went to work as a writer for the state of Oregon. Daniel continued his freelancing for Portland Community College while continuing as a Workshop Leader for the Oregon Writing Festival sponsored by Portland Public Schools, teaching writing exercises to high school students from 2010 to the present. Daniel is a freelance writer for the Oregon Historical Society, publishing articles on subjects affecting the state of Oregon's culture. Daniel continues as a book author (These Moments) and freelance writer for entertainment, live entertainment, artist profiles, and restaurant reviews.
