Jonathan L. Shirk

Jonathan L. Shirk is the pastor of Jerusalem Church, a historic independent Reformed church (est. ~ 1727) in the small town of Manheim, PA. He has degrees from Grove City College (BS in Marketing Management; 2001) and Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary (MDiv; 2006).

Small Town Theologian Vision: Spreading a passion for historic Reformed confessionalism throughout the world by helping people discover, believe, and apply the priceless Biblical truths found within it for their comfort, joy, and perseverance in Jesus Christ.

Small Town Theologian Mission: To prioritize local church ministry, publish short and helpful books and articles, broadcast a short-form coalitional podcast, preach and teach at elder-approved events, and sponsor conferences.

Jonathan is happily married to his lovely wife Kristina, and together they enjoy life in Manheim with their four children. He is a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoys running, basketball, fly fishing, grilling, hip hop, and much more.
