Lauri Wakefield

Lauri Wakefield grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. After a few years in college, she headed south to Florida to be closer to her family. She still resides in Florida with her husband, Andy, and their four cats.

As a multi-passionate, lifelong learner, Lauri enjoys reading and studying a variety of things. She is a Certified Human Design Specialist with a B.S. degree in Business from Charter Oak State College.

"From the Trenches" is her only poetry book. Maybe somewhat surprisingly, she doesn't consider herself a poet but rather a writer who wrote several poems many years ago.

In addition to her poetry book, Lauri is a contributing author to the book, "The ABCs of Awesome Living", which was published in 2020. She is also working on a non–fiction, personal transformation book, which she plans to publish in 2022. It will be related to her "Be Your True Style" website at www.beyourtruestyle.com.

In her spare time, Lauri enjoys watching sports with her husband, hanging out with friends and family, going to amusement parks and traveling when she has a chance. She genuinely enjoys meeting new people and learning about their life journey.
